Caitlin Butler O'Connor, RN

Registered Nurse and Wellness Coach

I  am a registered nurse with a passion for whole person wellness,  connection to nature, and the notion that our bodies have the innate  ability and wisdom to heal themselves. In addition to my classical  nursing education, I have pursued a Masters in Integrative Health and  received extensive education in holistic nutrition, herbal medicine,  stress management, mindfulness, and wellness coaching.

I  obtained my Associate Degree in Nursing in 2018 and then Bachelor of  Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University in 2019. During and  after my training I have worked in hospitals, correctional facilities  and home health taking care of very ill patients. This has given me the  opportunity to learn a lot of essential nursing skills and gain valuable  experience with emergency procedures and complex medical treatments.  However, it also allowed me to see that something is missing from the  soul of allopathic medicine. The majority of my patients were  chronically ill and dis-empowered. While the medical system provided  them with a long list of pharmaceuticals and invasive procedures,  wellness was not being promoted, and the whole person was not being  recognized. That sort of environment hindered my ability to provide  individualized healing care to my patients and did not meet my soul’s  purpose as a healer. That is why I decided to pursue a career in  Integrative Health. In December I will be graduating from the American  College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) with a Master of Science in  Integrative Health Sciences.

My  passion as a fellow human and a nurse is to help educate people in the  basic foundations of health: nutrition, physical activity, mindfulness,  meditation, breath, and connection to the natural world. I also want to  help them detox from pharmaceutical and chronic healthcare dependence.  In my work with clients I stand as an ally and a guide as they learn to  trust themselves and be their own best experts.

I  am also a mother to four beautiful daughters and that brings me an  additional level of understanding, experience and support when working  with parents and children, that one can only obtain through the school  of life.

I  am excited to be working with Dr. Daci as I feel our goals and values  for providing healthcare support for the individual are very much  aligned.

Certified Rolfer™ and Advanced CranioSacral Therapist

I  am a Certified Rolfer™ and Advanced CranioSacral Therapist, trained at  the Rolf Institute® of Structural Integration (2014) and The Pacific School of  Biodynamic Integration (2017). I am a native German, living in Northern  California since 2006.

When  I first received Rolfing® SI sessions for the first time in 2004, I was  amazed to learn about how the connective tissues (the web-like fascia)  are integrated into one another. I noticed in my own body the healing  benefits: better alignment, balance, more flexibility and ease in my  body.

My  path of continuous education has led me to working with the body not  only through Rolfing® SI, but also through CranioSacral therapy, a  holistic practice that supports the nervous system, the master regulator  of all the body functioning. By using this technique, I can meet my  client’s needs at a sensitive yet profound level, with a gentle hands-on  approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and  dysfunction and to improve whole-body health and performance.

I  believe that self-care and awareness of moving in the body with ease  and in gravity are a lifelong journey of healing in a world where  electronic devices, lack of movement and disconnection from nature have  become a challenge. This is why I am committed to educating my clients,  so they can take on a proactive ownership in personal self-care and body  awareness.
